Accessibility Statement for On the Beach

At On the Beach, we are committed to providing a website and app that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and app and in doing so aim to fully conform to the relevant standards, specifically the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

Our Accessibility Goals

We aim to ensure that our digital services are:

  • Perceivable – Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.

  • Operable – User interface components and navigation must be operable.

  • Understandable – Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable.

  • Robust – Content must be robust enough to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

Measures We’ve Taken

To achieve our accessibility goals, we are currently:

  • Conducting a full site audit with a leading specialist accessibility agency to highlight any current shortfalls

  • Building processes and tooling into our development lifecycle to ensure all new features are accessible to all customers

Areas we are still working on

Whilst we are making every effort to make our website and app more accessible, there are areas which we are still working on including: reviewing our use of colour, enhancing keyboard and site navigability and focusing on greater compatibility with assistive technologies i.e. screen readers
