Sveti Vlas sits just north of Sunny Beach and runs at a calmer pace, more couples-and-cocktails than buckets-and-buzz. Marina-front feel, hillside views over the bay, and the Bourgas Airport hop is the same 35km. Strong pick for couples or anyone wanting Sunny Beach proximity without Sunny Beach noise levels.

Golden Sands is the alternative on the northern Black Sea coast, near Varna rather than Bourgas. Forested backdrop, golden Blue Flag beach (the name doesn't lie), and a slightly more grown-up resort feel than Sunny Beach. 🚖 Bourgas Airport transfer to Sunny Beach: £20 to £30 by taxi for the 35km hop, or our pre-booked transfers come in cheaper still. Public bus is a couple of pounds if you don't mind the longer ride.
